IDX Excluded High Shareholding Concentration Stocks From JCI Weighting Starting November 2026
IDX planned to exclude high shareholding concentration (HSC) stocks from the JCI weighting effective early Nov-26. HSC stocks currently account for approximately 18% of the index’s total weight, but their exclusion would not automatically reduce the JCI by 18%, as the weight would be redistributed to other more liquid stocks with adequate free float. IDX stated that the policy aims to improve index representativeness by excluding stocks whose concentrated ownership may increase the risk of potentially distorted price formation.
