Bank Indonesia (BI) Maintained BI-Rate at 5.75%
BI maintained the BI-Rate at 5.75%, with Deposit Facility and Lending Facility rates unchanged at 4.75% and 6.50%, respectively, to support rupiah stability and maintain inflation within the 2.5% ±1% target. Jul-26 banking credit growth accelerated to 13.58% YoY from 12.67% in Jun-26, while CAR and gross NPL stood at 23.70% and 2.09%, respectively. The rupiah strengthened 0.78% MoM to IDR 17,855/USD as of 18 Aug-26, while FX reserves stood at USD 145.3 bn at end-Jul-26. (Bank Indonesia)
Govt. Planned IDR 876.3 tn Debt Financing in 2027
The govt. planned IDR 876.3 tn in debt financing for 2027, up 0.9% from the 2026 outlook of IDR 868.1 tn, with net SBN issuance accounting for IDR 779.9 tn, up 5.9% YoY. Net domestic loans were projected at negative IDR 11.5 tn, while net foreign loans reached IDR 107.8 tn, down 21.6% from IDR 137.5 tn in the 2026 outlook. Prodia Widyahusada (PRDA) Planned IDR 150 bn Share Buyback
PRDA planned to conduct a share buyback with a maximum allocation of IDR 150 bn, including transaction costs, funded entirely through internal cash. The buyback will be conducted through the IDX for three months from 20 Aug-26 to 19 Nov-26, either gradually or in full depending on market conditions.
